Discovering welding and metal work purely by chance, Barbara started out apprenticing with a local shop in Atlanta called Blood, Sweat & Steel. After working there for a year and realizing that welding was a growing passion, she decided to make it “official” by studying and receiving a degree in Welding & Joining at Atlanta Area Tech.

Barbara has showed her work in several galleries, worked on private commissions and donated numerous pieces to local non-profits. In 1996, she worked with Blood, Sweat & Steel to create a commissioned bronze for the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta.
