About Jackson Hole POP! Artisan Gourmet Popcorn
About Jackson Hole POP! founder, Mike Daus
Mike Daus’ never-ending energy and enthusiasm breathe life into Jackson Hole POP! Beyond the initial vision and creation of the company he believes snacking should be tasty while still healthy… and always fun – fun for employees, fun for customers and fun for the community. He embodies the true spirit of the entrepreneur and inspires whomever he encounters. He works with employees to ensure their opportunity grows, values them, and it shows. In addition, Mike leads by example, especially in community involvement.
Whether supplying popcorn snacks for children bused into Jackson from central Wyoming Native American reservations for the WILD Festival or donating popcorn for fundraisers at Jackson Hole Children’s Museum, Jackson Hole Ski Club, Rotary, Kiwanis, Teton County Fire/EMS or the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s Old Bills Fun Run, it seems like Jackson Hole POP! is always involved. It is people like Mike that effect both their company and community alike by believing in infinite possibility that anything and everything can happen with hard work, positivity and popcorn.
Always available for friends, colleagues and community members, Mike believes in the power of building up fellow entrepreneurs. He freely shares strategic practices and is an active, supporting member in the Jackson Hole Chamber and Rotary. More traditionally, Mike invests in mentoring seasonal Jackson Hole POP! employee Sergio Flores-Garcia. Now a freshman at UWYO, Sergio’s interests center on manufacturing, quality control and customer service. A State Champion and HS/MVP Soccer player, Mike is extremely proud of Sergio’s enthusiasm and understanding of value, hard work and achievements on both the athletic field and in the classroom.
As a Jackson Hole community member, it seems like Mike Daus never stops working to better the community. A retired firefighter with Teton Village Fire Department after 22 years, he also served as Board Chairman for four terms with the Teton Village Special Fire District. Mike is also a charter member of the Jackson Hole Land Trust Open Space Council.
